Brunch at The Hamilton

The best things in life are never planned. Right?

Hopped on the Metro on Saturday for an impromptu trip to Washington DC.

Checked out some shops, seemed like everything I liked was out in my size. Oh, the inconvenience for my wallet. 

I have been living in these shoes! 

Ended up at The Hamilton just in time for brunch

 It is beautiful inside! 

Start with District Wings with Mumbo sauce (DC special sauce)

Vanilla and Grand Marnier Creamsicle, delicious

 This Shrimp & Grits with Creole sauce, a little spicy on the Andouille sausage side, it is very filling and a great choice.

 There was no room for dessert so we opted for tea, and it came with yummy mini biscotti.

Yes, the check does come with a print out of the latest news while you were dinning. Very clever.
